Chairman PVPA Dr Asim Mahmood Khan Meets CEO DRAP — PVPA Commemorative Shield of Recognition Presented

FLASH NEWS — Chairman's activity Islamabad — Pakistan Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Association (PVPA) Chairman Dr. Asim Mahmood Khan, together with members of the PVPA Executive Committee, held a meeting in Islamabad with Dr. Obaid Ullah Malik, Chief Executive Officer of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP). The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of PVPA and DRAP to strengthen cooperation in animal health and welfare, One Health implementation, and necessary reforms in the veterinary regulatory system. Both sides emphasised the importance of constructive institutional dialogue, medicines quality, responsible regulation and public safety, in alignment with Pakistan's national priorities and Government vision. During the meeting, Chairman Dr. Asim Mahmood Khan presented a PVPA Commemorative Shield of Recognition to Dr. Obaid Ullah Malik on behalf of the PVPA Executive Committee, recognising his distinguished leadership and contribution to pharmaceutical regulation. This PVPA commemorative recognition is distinct from Dr. Obaid Ullah Malik's Sitara-i-Imtiaz, conferred by the Government of Pakistan among Independence Day Civil Awards. The PVPA Animal Health Commemorative Edition recognises this important regulatory contribution while exploring the wider relationship between veterinary pharmaceuticals, medicines quality, One Health governance and antimicrobial stewardship.
