PVPA Holds 5th Central Executive Committee Meeting

The Pakistan Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Association (PVPA) held its 5th Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting on 11 September 2026 at PVPA House, 674 P Block, Johar Town, Lahore, under the chairmanship of Dr Asim Mahmood Khan, Chairman PVPA.
The meeting was attended by a large number of members of the Central Executive Committee, including Dr Masud Sadiq Chaudhary, Senior Vice Chairman PVPA; Mr Shoaib Amjad, Vice Chairman North Region; Dr Khalid Iqbal, Vice Chairman South Region; Mr Sajeel Das; Rana Asif Masood; Mr Awais Aslam; Dr M. Ijaz Anwar; Dr M. Nadeem Bhatti; Mr Shahbaz Aslam; Syed Ijaz Hussain; Mr Ishaq Ahmed; Mr Yasin; Mr Zain Mahmood Randhawa; Mr M. Waseem; Dr Waqas; and Dr Awais Dar.
The meeting provided an important platform for detailed deliberations on matters concerning the veterinary pharmaceutical industry. A major portion of the discussion focused on the 2D barcode and serialization requirements introduced by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) for veterinary pharmaceutical companies.
The members discussed the regulatory and implementation challenges and their potential impact on the industry. The discussion was constructive and fruitful, with the Committee emphasizing the importance of coordination and facilitation for veterinary pharmaceutical stakeholders.
The Committee also reviewed the ongoing preparations for IVP Expo 2027, the flagship exhibition organized by PVPA. The members stressed the need to accelerate preparations and adopt an effective promotional strategy to attract a greater number of exhibitors, industry professionals, international participants, and visitors.
The Committee expressed its commitment to making IVP Expo 2027 a larger, more vibrant, and impactful platform for the veterinary and allied industries.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment of the Executive Committee to work collectively for the development of the veterinary pharmaceutical sector and to strengthen PVPA’s role as a representative platform for the industry.
